After Mint shut down in 2024, millions of people lost their free subscription tracking tool. The alternatives that replaced it either cost $10–$15/month, require linking your bank account, or demand you create an account and hand over your email. We thought that was ridiculous for something as simple as tracking a few recurring charges.
So we built Free Subscription Tracker — a tool that does one thing well and respects your privacy while doing it.
Your subscription data stays on your device. When you add a subscription, it's saved to your browser's local storage — the same place websites store preferences and settings. It never gets sent to a server, a database, or any third party. We literally have no way to see what you've entered.
This means your data is as safe as your device. If you clear your browser data, it's gone. That's why we include an export/import feature — so you can back up your data as a JSON file whenever you want.
This site is supported by ads served through Google AdSense. These ads use cookies to show you relevant advertising — this is standard across most free websites. You can opt out of personalized ads through Google Ads Settings. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
We chose ads over a subscription model because it felt wrong to charge people a monthly fee for a tool that helps them stop overpaying for monthly fees.
We don't require signups, emails, or passwords. We don't link to your bank. We don't sell data. We don't track what subscriptions you enter. We use Google Analytics to understand overall traffic patterns (page views, not personal data) and AdSense for advertising. The subscription tracker itself runs entirely in your browser.
We build free, ad-supported tool sites across personal finance. Same philosophy everywhere — no signups, no data collection, just useful calculators that run in your browser.
You can add Free Subscription Tracker to your phone or tablet's homescreen for instant access — just like a native app. It loads fast, works offline for cached pages, and keeps your financial tools one tap away.
1. Open freesubscriptiontracker.org in Safari
2. Tap the Share button (square with arrow at the bottom of the screen)
3. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
4. Tap "Add" in the top right corner
1. Open freesubscriptiontracker.org in Chrome
2. Tap the three-dot menu (top right corner)
3. Tap "Add to Home screen" or "Install app"
4. Tap "Add" to confirm
1. Open freesubscriptiontracker.org
2. Click the install icon in the address bar (looks like a monitor with a download arrow)
3. Click "Install"
Once added, it appears on your homescreen with the piggy bank icon and opens in its own window — no browser tabs or address bar. Your data is still stored locally in your browser.
